Custom Mac iTunes Icon

So, made this some weeks ago.

Just bored with the standart itunes icon, and decided to make new one for myself :D
As you can see, images are collected from internet, and all I do is just mashed them up together. I do not take credit for the artwork (the headphone girl and itunes note artwork).

Just go to my deviantArt page, and just click download button at the left.

To change:

1. Just right-click on the Icon (cmd + shift for one-button mouse) and choose Get Info.

2. After the window opens, just click on the icon preview (should be at the top of the Get Info window, and press cmd+C.

3. Then go to Application, and right-click (cmd+click) at iTunes icon and select Get Info.

4. Now highlight the default iTunes icon by clicking the Icon preview at the top of Get Info window.

5. When the default itunes icon is highlighted, just hit cmd+V, and Viola, it's done!

Note : If the iTunes' icon in the dock didn't change, just simply remove iTunes from dock, and drag the newly-changed iTunes to the dock

Stalled.

So, one day my roommate came home with that gunpla in his hand. I never knew that he liked building gunpla before... or probably his gunpla-ing mode has just come back after he saw me building a gunpla before. (Does that mean that I indirectly influencing him to buy gunpla? who knows).

But man, he sure does kinda fast building it. It's been probably less than 2 months and he already build, like, 4 gunplas (2 HG, 2 MG) and now working on that one in the picture.

....Which reminds me that I still got a gunpla project that's been stalled for at least 3 months. I dunno, I just can't find the right time to build it.

Yeah, it hasn't progressing much lately (or should I say, not progressing AT ALL) since the last time I get my hands on it. It also took me quite awhile to build that RX-78, since I tried to apply some sanding and panel lining this time. It took much longer time, but for some reason I enjoyed it more than straight-building it. I have to go back and finish this sometime in the future...

Btw, I think that's an Astray with IWSP pack (CMIIW). It's kinda funny because I also have a IWSP pack waiting to get built. It's just that his is Astray, and mine is the Strike. It's not that much different, it even have almost identical IWSP pack. I think the only difference (in a glance) is just the mouth and slight difference in the body design.

Which reminds me again that I still got 3 more gunplas sitting in the shelves...

*sigh*

I want to get RX-78 done with and move on to the IWSP and the PGs. But I've wondering if using other Gundam Marker color will make cooler lining besides black? It sure tempting to get a set, but it costs pretty steep too, at least for a set of markers.. I think it costs around $20 or somewhere around that? I have to make up my mind first. But I think I'll stick to the black one for the RX-78.

Ok, I think that's all for this post. Now that I think about it, this post doesn't have too much of a point in it, does it?

Steal Deal

Soo... I know that I shouldn't spend money to buy figures anymore (at least for this month), but I really break that commitment when I saw this figure on ebay. Yea I know, it's good eventhough it's old, and yes, it actually costs around $150++ on ebay. But I found this baby right here for $80.

Yes, $80. Can u believe it? me neither, at first. The first thing that comes to my mind if it's probably a bootleg.

So I asked the seller whether the box has the hologram sticker on it, and thankfully they say 'yes'.

Even tho bootlegger probably can imitate the sticker, that sticker's on it alone has made me try to buy it.

So I bought it (have to pay $25 for shipping tho, coz it's sent from Japan), and it arrived several days ago.

And yes, I then really checked it. Turns out that it even have 2 stickers (one from Type-Moon, one from HobbyJapan), and the sculpt and color looks right. Since it's looks like it's pretty legit, I guess I really get a steal deal on this figure :)

Oh yea, also, as a make-up for not posting in awhile, I'll probably upload some wallpapers (using MU this time, no eblogger or photobucket crap this time), since I've been collecting anime wallpapers lately (got around 1000++ right now). So yeah. Wait for it.

Banpresto C.C DX figure (Black Ver.)

So, I've been kinda active buying figure lately, but almost never opened them. Reason? I dunno, I wanna open them, but I also want to preserve them in their original condition (overreacted, no?)
But last week while browsing, I found a Banpresto C.C figure, which is pretty cheap compared other figures. Long story short, I bought it, and finally I opened it. I thought I might as well give it a lil bit review. Before I start, sorry about the background and such, coz I don't have any space to set up background for the photoshoot. All the pics are all point-and-shoot, and then given some minor adjustment.


So, I finally happy to get this figure since I first saw it back at earlier Anime Expo, because this figure by far is one of the better C.C figure out there ( I dunno, I rarely spotted C.C figure).
So, I opened it, and to much surprise, it came in pieces, which mean minor assembly is required (I know, I know, I should have expected it, since it comes with only carton box)



So, first thing first, let's rip open the plastic warper.


Bam, lookin good so far... but for that moment only.

Soon after I pay a little more attention to the pieces, I discover this.

It comes with some chips on her hair.... And as you can see, there's also some visible line between the hair parts. I guess that's inevitable, but I don't think that chip is also part of the design.

...But nevertheless, She is still comes with a pretty remarkable and accurate sculpting, especially in her price range.

Awww... How adorable :3 I think I might fall in love with her sooner or later. Really nice facial sculpture, imo.

And when I move to the body, I notice some of could-be-better paint quality

Hmm... Looks like the yellow paint has tainted the black dress of C.C..
There's also some white stains around her chest.. Looks like it can be removed, but I dont know what should I remove it with. perhaps thinner? Anybody have experiences removing this type of stain?
I really disappointed with the stains. If only it were come perfectly without any chips or stain, She would be one of my best buy :(
I don't know if other C.C owner also got this defects, or probably it's just me who got lucky..
But I think this type of quality is to be expected from figure with this price range...


Anyway, let's continue assembling her..

Oh yea, I do experiencing some difficulties attaching the other arm between the hair. Any C.C owner experiencing the same difficulties? or perhaps it's just me? lol


And finally, She's completed!! (it sounds like I was building a gunpla or something, lol)

Hmm... I think I also have to buy the C.C Ichiban Kuji figure. The only problem is just she costs a bomb :(

Also, I've been noticing that my photos are not as good as others. This sometimes bother me, and I've been looking for answer since then.

One of my friend said, my photos result were so-so probably because I was using an all-around camera (I'm currently using 18-200mm).

He said that my lens is good if you don't like to bring more than 1 lens when taking photos. But if I want to get best results, he told me that I should have used a specialized lenses for the shots (i.e macro lens for close-up, wide-angle for landscape, etc).

Is it true?

Oh yea, on a side note, my order of Ignis the White came several days ago, and it really disappoint me. The dress and all are nice, but it's just her eyes. omg, HER EYES (and what I mean is her real eyes, not "eyes"). They're done pretty badly, considering all the other details, and it really turns me off.

Should I just sell it? Or should I just accept it as is, and display it anyway?

FullMetal Alchemist - Brotherhood OP 2 : Hologram

(w00t... I made other posts, FINALLY lol)

Sooo.... Anyone might notice now that FullMetal Achemist : Brotherhood got a new OP now. I haven't watch it yet, but lurking in internet made me know about the new song. So I youtube it, and bam, NICE SONG. I think I starting to love this j-rock type of thing, but not too hardcore. I think it's called Hologram (CMIIW), sung by NICO Touches the Walls.
Hmm... not too familiar or up-to-date with J-music, but perhaps they're a newcomer in the biz?
Also, Anyone can tell me other songs that run along this type of music? I'm currently bored with my music library right now (with no good western music, and no sources to K-music or J-music), so any suggestion would be greatttt

Weekly Wallpaper 1

Ok, so the last time I post something is like.... what, almost 3 months ago? Yeah, I do kinda forgot about this blog lol. Also, I don't really know what to post, since I don't have any trademark post for this blog. So, after thinking and thinking, I thought "Hey, how about if I just post wallpapers every week?"

So yeah, I guess I'll start posting this thread right now. But, I might not post it weekly, since Ima lil 'flexible' with my schedule, if u know what I mean lol.

The wallpapers that I will post here will be mainly widescreen sized, between 1440x900 and 1680x1050. But if you guys want other sizes, I PROBABLY can do something about it. Again, I'm not guarantee you that I can give you the size you want, since I'm no computer whiz or vector guru or something. It appears that she was already in the business for quite some time, but it is the first time i've heard of her... and WOW how I like her voice and songs.

Unfortunately, I don't have any information of her besides that she have won Sony Audition quite some time ago. Wanted to visit her japanese website, but can't even read Japanese, so gave up. lol.

YUI's Again for FullMetal Alchemist : Brotherhood OP !

Maybe this stuff have been around for awhile, but there's a new series for FullMetal Alchemist coming out recently. Titled FullMetal Alchemist : Brotherhood, this time the anime will follows the original story from the manga.

The first episode came out recently, and as usual, I checked out the OP to see the quality.. and WOW i really liked both the OP and ED theme for this one, especially the opening theme!

God, this one sure takes me back to the feeling when I first listened to her song, Life. I thought that YUI's song recently not really much to my liking, but this one totally make up for it!!

oh yeah, the ED theme's pretty decent too. check it out. it's called Lie, sung by SID.

But as usual, eventho it's really good, I usually don't follow new series until it's done airing, or at least half of the total episodes have came out. I prefer to watch the episodes in one-go, rather waiting week by week for each episodes.

also, doing that means I can wait for the dvd, or the fansub. lol

1/6 Morrigan - Max Factory

Was browsing around few days back and found this gorgeous figure on HobbyFan

This is 1/6 PVC Morrigan from Max Factory. Smexy.

If I am right, this figure is scheduled to be released on July 2009 with retail price of ¥12,800.

Some websites already started to take pre-orders for this babe. WANT. but financial condition does not allow me at this time. DAMMIT.

So, to comfort myself, I decided to make a drawing of this PVC figure right here. But because of my lazy nature, I just draw it in sketches

... which is turned out pretty good, I guess. But several days later, I read about how kinzokusama, a fellow comrade from dannychoo.com, uses some brush-tipped pen to trace his drawing.

Was asking what brand is the pen, and bought it the next days. Was really excited to try the pen because I've been wanting to get the same results as his drawing which you can see right here.

and this is result.

SHIT. looked so fugly. You can really see the difference between his drawing and mine, and it's like heaven and earth. DAMMIT.

I might be because I got the wrong pen, but most likely it's because my drawing sucks. Need practice moar.

Oh well, putting that aside, I want this PVC so bad. Hopefully I can save some money so I can buy this babe some time later.

Photoshoot Testing

So, yeah, I just got my first-ever Revoltech, the Fulldrillized Gurren Lagann. It's pretty neat tho, with all the joint that's so flexible, no wonder many people loves revoltechs. Got it from one of the hobby town in JapanTown when I was strolling around :D

Loves it, and decided to take some pictures to test my lens' macro compatibility. And God I'm so bad at taking shots that there's only some pics that worth posting..

Beside my inability to take great shot, it also appears that eventho my lens is good for a all-around lens, it didn't do a good job for taking macro.

Ahh... I wish I had bought a macro lens too. Was checking the online price for Canon macro lenses, but costs around $200 plus. Expensive.

But honestly I don't know which one should I get, the macro lens or the wide-angle lens, since I love to take pictures of scenery also. :(

Later last night, decided to take more shots of the revoltech, and only came up with several shots worth posting...

Would like to upload more pictures when my skill got better tho. But for now, I guess a couple of picture is enough.

And trying to use a photoshop to adjust the image a lil' bit. Tried to use clone tool to erase the stand pole, but failed, as you can see at the pic below. I heard that Lightroom do a better job at refining post-shot photos. Is that true? I tried to use Lightroom for awhile, but still can't leave photoshop for the moment..

Will take my other figures later. So happy that my Kos-Mos just arrived today. Will take photos of it then post it later... if I came up with good shots lol.

1st Entry

Hi,

first, I never expect to create a blog in the first place. But suddenly, the idea to create one just came up out of nowhere just now, when I was stuck (and lazy) to do my assignments that's due tomorrow. Yeah, you can say that I make this blog on impulse.

So, starting from now, (hopefully) I will update some random stuff. It can be daily events, rumors, songs, figures, blah blah blah. I might update it daily, once a week, a year, or probably I just too lazy to update anymore.

And if there are some people who by chance read this post just to leave bashing or other bad stuff :
